My favorite shakespeares poem

May 25th, 2007 by ciarra in Poems · No Comments

SONNET 17
Who will believe my verse in time to come,
If it were fill’d with your most high deserts?
Though yet, heaven knows, it is but as a tomb
Which hides your life and shows not half your parts.
If I could write the beauty of your eyes
And in fresh numbers number all your graces,
The age to come would say ‘This poet lies:
Such heavenly touches ne’er touch’d earthly faces.’
So should my papers yellow’d with their age
Be scorn’d like old men of less truth than tongue,
And your true rights be term’d a poet’s rage
And stretched metre of an antique song:
But were some child of yours alive that time,
You should live twice; in it and in my rhyme.

My book accomplishment

May 25th, 2007 by ciarra in Essay · No Comments

When I started school I’ve never liked books. By the time I got up to second grade I found a book I actually liked. It was called Junie B. Jones. It was on a second grade level and I liked it. I could take an A.R test and past them with a 100%. By the time I got up to 5-8th grade they said that those kinds of books were from little kids. I had the series and thought L.A would be a snap.

Know I’m going throw the library looking for a new book that I could read. When I find one I only had a week to read it. Knowing me I’ll read two or three pages then put the book down and never read it again. I took a test on it and got a 60%. Knowing my school grade was going to be bad. I still tried hard and I past the 5th grade.

The next year I had a book project due in the next two weeks. So I went to the library and tried to look for a book. This was 6th grade and I tried to read little books but I couldn’t. The teachers said that we were supposed to read books our level. So I had to go back and find a new book. I only had one week to read it. When I final find a book I thought looked interesting I pick it up and deiced to read it. It was called “The Series of Unfortunate Events”. I started to read it and got in the middle of the book. When I went to the school the next day, I found out that the project was do the next day. When I take the test as usually I got a 60%.

In 7th grade I thought reading for a grade was over. But it wasn’t, and I had a hard time finding what I wonted to read again. But to L.A teachers it’s easy as pie. It wasn’t long before I had to take a test. When it happened instead of getting a 60 I got a 70. I was so amazed at myself.

Finial in 8th grade, I was still having a hard time finding a book. My friend showed me a book called “The Clique” I started reading it and I liked it. It was about rich kids that are teens that go through the some things that regular people do. It was so cool. I had a blast reading it. Know I’m on the 4th book called “Invasion of the Boy Snatchers”. I can’t wait to read the rest of her books.

When I’m down and alone my mom is there to pick me up. She is one of those people that I appreciate. She’s also the one I love. My mom influences me in many ways. She’s there in times when I need help with homework she helps. She helps me throw live to. Being a role model, she inspires me. And being a friend is how she’s funny and how she gives me options.

My mom helps me with a lot of things. But what I care about is homework and life. She helps me with homework, for a lot of reasons. One is so I can have a good education. She wants me to have a good life and doesn’t won’t it to be like hers. She also helps me throw life. One reason is how if I’m having a problem she helps me out on how I was wrong and how my friend was wrong. Some times it’s mostly me.

My mom is a role model with one thing. That’s how she inspires me. She does so many things that help a lot of people throw things. She inspires me in how she always positive and tells me to never think negative. She inspires me by how she works real hard but doesn’t come home with an attitude. How she is always greatful and how her smile gets me throw the day in one piece.

My mom is always a good friend. She is funny in many ways. She makes jokes and she can always make you laugh. She always do things like try to dance and when she sings her old songs she pots some grooves in it. She also gives me options. If I’m in a moment were I’m mad or need something figured out. My mom is always helpful even when you don’t won’t her help, she helps you any way.

All these things are what I like about my mom. It met be crazy to think that some one who punishes you in someone you inspire in. But in ways you now how. My mom helps me in ways and throw she yells and try her hardest to make thing right. She is the one I love the most. She’s the one that’s bright. She adores me throw everything. William Shakespeare

May 17th, 2007 by ciarra in Essay · No Comments

William Shakespeare was considered to be the most famous writer of the English language. Today people still read his works and perform his plays. His writing is very rich.

William Shakespeare was born in 1564 on April 23; at least that is what we think.  His real birth date is not known, but traditionally it was thought of as being on April 23. This is on the same day as St. George’s Day. He was born in England.

William went to the Holy Trinity parish church. His home town was Stratford-Upon-Avon. This is where William got his nickname. (Bard of Avon or The Bardor swan of Avon)

William was most famous for his 38 plays and 154 sonnets. Some plays were about tragedy and comedy. Other plays that he wrote were “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Macbeth”. Romeo and Juliet was about two people that loved each other but they were from two separate worlds. Romeo was from a family that was poor. Juliet was from a family that was rich. To Juliet’s family they wanted Juliet to marry someone rich, someone that could give her what she needed. The only problem was that she liked Romeo but his family did not want him to love Juliet.

William Shakespeare was also considered to be England’s national poet. He wrote many beautiful poems that people enjoyed.

During his childhood he had attended King Edward the 6th grammar school. People expected more out of him because his dad was the prominent town official. As he got older he met a girl named Anne Hathaway. He had eight children; two of his daughters were from Anne.  One out of the two Daughters had married a doctor. His son had died in 1596.

Throw his later years Shakespeare’s was an actor. He also was the greatest dramatist. All his work was transformed into the English theater. He was also equipment in Spanish literate.

William died at the age of 52. It was strange because he died on April 23, 1616 the same day as his birthday. It was also strange because his death occurred on the some day as the Spanish novist play wright Miguel De Cervantes. William died ten days after it. After his death they buried him at the chanel of holy trinity church. They also made a statue of him and put it up on the church so everyone will now were William Shakespeare came from.

My Mom

By: Ciarra Williams

Her hands are as soft as pedals

as cold and warm during the night

and as smooth as a feathers

as she types on cashregistes,

 keeping count of money

and helping people

while answering questions

 at the same time

she always wakes me up for school

and puts food on the table

she helps me with my homework

she takes away my pains

she tells me stories

of her family and everything

her smile puts you through the day

she makes jokes that make you laugh

my mom is like any other bright

and always cool

my mom is like me

she always rule

Dedicated to: My mom
